Blog Again...>:*C

What connections can you make between what you are learning in class and the real world? That is, can you think of any applications besides those that we may have done in class or you have seen in the textbook? Explain the connections.

((/1\)) -- Well I think what we are learning in class right now has nothing to do in the real world that is my personal opinion I mean using the similar triangles and same triangles it just is useless in a "Teenagers" World.

What do you foresee yourself studying in college or when you graduate high school? How do you think math is related? Find information online to back up your thoughts.

((/2\)) -- I foresee myself studying doctrine in College, I would like to become a Doctor like my dad and my grandpa and my great grandpa. Well math is related beacuse you have to know how to do math because being a doctor requires you to know math and to know how much medicin the paitent needs.

How is the math that we are doing in class related to your interests outside of class? Find information online to back up your thoughts.

((/3\)) -- Well once again the SSS, AA etc. I really don't know where I would ever use this in my life. I mean I don't find anything in this classroom for me to use in the outside world. I know all this stuff because in my old school we had already learned this. So I really don't know where i would use this outside of school.

Bloggggy Time. 6. :D

Assignments- I did most of the work required.
Classwork - I did most of the work required
Homework - I did most of the work required
Studying for Quizzes - I did most of the work required study hall =Loveeee with georgia!! < : D
Reworking problems that you misunderstood - I did most of the work required
Making up work and checking the eboard when absent - I did't do any

=D

I have done a good jobing listening I get good grades in math so I do listen and pay attention. I just talk alot to myself, and i start side conversations yes.

I think that I need to try to shut my mouth more and not talk because I'm having problems with the work.
I will no longer ask my classmates about the questions I have, I will ask our teacher.
But then when you think about it your really suppose to be talking so "you can learn and understand better alone"
To tell you the truth I didn't learn anything new. I Just am reviewing things that I already know. Now im not saying that im perfect. I have made some stupid mistakes on tests , but its all good. :D

Blog Time. 5 Joy. :)

Hello My fellow viewers,
Ah the most significant thing I have learned in math in the past 2 weeks was that all of the angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.
I preatty much get everything, it is very simple for me and I like it this way.
The groups are really working for me, because we get to communticate.
The whole letting the child learn on their own thing, is horrible.
I am annoyied by this blogging thing. Sorry I am, it takes up my time, and half the time it doesn't even work

2)I have learned how to figure out the degress of s shape. I have leanred how to find the line of symmetry. I also leanred how to lable a shape and its angles.

I could teach transformation and reflection to a friend.

I need help with Translation.

Blog Post 3 =]

Hey Guys Im posting this Blog :)

1) Reflection - Looking in the mirror
2) Rotation - A wheel on a Ship( when you turn the ship it "Rotaits"
3) Translation - shapes in math class. We always translate them on graph paper =]

A shape that has Symmetry is a square and the line of symmerty in down the middle.

A figure with all sides at angles of 30 degrees is a 12 side figure. I got this answer by dividing 360 by the amount of degrees to get the number of sides. All shapes when rotated fully add up to 360 degrees.

First Few Weeks of School...

Well Lower Merion is a very nice school. The first weeks have been really easy. I have made a goal for my-self that I will always do my homework from now on because I didn't do it 2 days in a row. I know it is shocking! =O.I will have to look at the eBoard every night to see what we have to do for homework. The things that have been helpful in this class are that ; we are in groups and I think it is a very good method of like helping the kids understand more about each other and how to get the math. Nothing has been difficult in this class everyday I look foward to this class serioulsy. Mrs.D is great. Ok I need to focus on Homework and I shall check the eBoard everyday :D ok

Auto Biography

Dear readers,
I am a 14 year old Male in Lower Merion High School. I have a younger sister who goes to Merion school. I was born in Nis, Serbia-- or former Yugoslavia. When I was 3 I moved to Toronto. I lived in Toronto for about 4 years and then I moved to Nova Scotia, Halifax. I lived there for 7 months and then moved to Philadelphia. I lived in Philadelphia for about 4 years and moved back to Toronto. Then I lived in Toronto for about 2 years and then finally moved back here. I have moved 9 times in total.

I go to Serbia just about every summer. I have a lot of cousins and relatives there. I am an outgoing kind of guy I like to speak my mind. Other than math I am an honors student. OHH yeah and both of my parents are alive :].

Math ok well I never actually liked math at all I found it very boring. Yes you need to use it in life but I never liked it. Don’t get me wrong I always had an A in math. I am actually very excited to take Geometry this year. I have never worked in a team in math class. I think that for me to succeed in this class I need to study a lot.
